Definitely drive up for a day. You're so close, why not? Hopefully, you can pick a day soon after you arrive while ALL the RVers are there. It's something to see if only for one time. There are markets on both sides of I-10 so check them all out. Wear comfortable shoes, take a hat and water. There are many food booths. Have fun!
