We just took two non RVing friends for a day trip to Q - 2 hours from Indio - and they had a blast with the shopping and touring new RVs they never have any intention of buying and just a bit of off roading in my Jeep.
The weather was good for us and the crowds and traffic were light enough to get around, many vendors in the swap meet were busy and we all bought "stuff". Way too much fun.
