Looks to me like everyone missed the first thing when we have power or
boost problems is to replace the fuel filters .
Power and boost is developed by burning fuel , when that supply slows
down both will suffer when you need it the most .
As to how the boost works , when you push down the accelerator the fire
inside grows bigger the exhaust starts really blowing and that exhaust
spins the turbo then the boost gauge starts climbing .
Any time you call for max power the boost should be well over 20 some
models near 30 .
15 is pitiful you get the boost right and you will be amazed .
Please replace the filters even if they are relatively new .
A trip to Cummins or who ever could be very costly then to find out
it was filters all along .
Of course it could be any of the things mentioned above also but filters
first .
