In researching high quality Class C's,it was our observation that the 'delivered' weight of the Coach House's tended to be higher than the others, leaving very little Cargo Carrying Capacity.
Note that if you buy a Coach House Class C and go with the Ford E-Series chassus under it (as I would do) - instead of the Mercedes chassis - every Coach House model they offer with only the Ford chassis (their Platinum series) is built on the heavy duty E-Series E450 chassis.
That means that in the shorter Coach House Platinum models, you have Cargo Carrying Capacity to spare .... as we do with our E450 24 foot Itasca Class C. Note also that if you care about overall chassis over-kill ruggedness, that the shortest Coach House E450 Platinum models (their 220/221XL/232XL), are about the smallest Class C motorhomes you can buy (all three are 23'2" long) in the U.S., or anywhere, built on the E450 chassis.
With the Platinum 220/221XL/232XL E450 models you get terrific braking, cooling, lateral (rear track width) stability, and extreme weight carrying capacity ... plus full-molded-fiberglass boat hull lifetime leakproofness ... all in one superb compact go-anywhere Class C package. You just have to figure out how to pay for it.
