We visited the Nexus factory to order our coach and observed their construction standards. Their one piece fiberglass roof is crowned and wraps 6 inches over the side to prevent leaks. Their caps and roof are very comparable to Phoenix.
Ron, we all know you love your PC just as I love my Nexus. For the record I think your coach is beautiful with aesthetics my Nexus cannot touch but....
Most owners tend to be very happy with what they have... funny how that works. It's too bad you can't get beyond the value Nexus offers vs the big bucks PC charges for what are basically equal quality coaches. Nexus does not build multiple lines. They do not offer an "entry level" product any more than PC does. Every coach in the Nexus line is built with the same materials to the same high standards. How so many builders can justify $100,000+ for a 24' RV is beyond me. :h
We spent a few hours this weekend at an RV show put on by La Mesa RV. We looked at nothing but 24ish Class C/B+'s {Winnebaggo, Itasca, Renegade etc},. They ranged in price from $60,000 to more than $125,000. Admittedly the Mercedes Chassis' come with a $13,000 to $15,000 premium, the value of which could be debated endlessly ... but I digress. :R
What amazed me was finding nearly every drawer built of untreated quarter inch plywood, tiny two burner stovetops that can only accommodate a single pan, frig/freezer combo's a third smaller than ours, microwave's half the size of shoebox, manual awnings and mirrors, no heated tanks, no power drivers seats, a thousands pounds of payload (or less), no spare tires, limited headroom, ridiculous floorpans about half of which require making up the bed every night. The models with slides added little but weight and empty unusable space {and all of the problems slides have come to be known for}, and when closed required you to turn sideways to even access the bathroom or rear bed.
I admit to being a bit of a minimalist, 40 years of boating tends to do that but in a 24ish Class C/B+ what you get, for what you pay is stretching to ridiculous lengths with each new model year. Needless to say we left the show laughing, happier than ever with our Nexus.
Rant off.... for now {LMAO}. :B

As always.... Opinions and YMMV.
