I notice that the 23P Nexus has one outstanding "feature" that the small PC does not: The 23P has a full cabover bed even though is a shorty Class C ... where the equivalent length PC does not.
(That's one reason we chose our 24 footer - two permanent queen beds so that the DW, with her bad back, can spread out all over the back queen and I can spread out all over the cabover queen.)
Here's my totally non-rational/emotional reactions to a Nexus:
1) Too bad the 23P isn't offered on an optional E450 chassis. ;)
2) How can a Nexus 23P "be good quality" when it's retail pricing is so much lower than the rest? ;)
Phil,.
You can order a Nexus 23P with the E-450 chassis. It has always been an option.
The cabover bed is huge at 8' X 54" and with 7' of headroom in the rest of the coach you have plenty of" sitting up" space in the cabover. The over head vent and two side windows bring in lots of air and light. Probably the least claustrophobic cabover in the industry.
As to your second question, selling factory direct certainly plays a large role.... but the question should be why are all the rest so overpriced? Just depends on how you look at it.
:B
I'll add in on this as well.
Even tho the Nexus comes with ALOT of stuff as standard equipment other manufacturers has as options, you can still ad on alot of options to the Nexus and it can get very expensive fast !
I totally agree with DC on how all are overpriced tho !
