I do not know which models you did the walk thru on, but our 2010 Rexhall Aerbus does not have many of the problems you bring up.
1. When we bought it used in Jan. 2014 in Eugene OR one of the first things we did was told them bring the slides in and let me see if the refridge door would open could we get to the bed & no it did not have to be raised and most important could we use the toilet with the slide in , yes even though it was a bit tight, quick use at a rest stop , gas station was easily possible. As for poor quality, are they perfect NO, but is your Bounder perfect?
