In 1988 we bought a new Mallard and never sanitized the fresh water system on it, the dealer might have. A few years after we got the mallard, I added a bladder tank to the fresh water system.
In 2002 we replaced the Mallard with a 2003 Itasca. I adder a bladder tank to the Itasca shortly after getting it.
We have had a slight off taste in the Itasca for the past many years, so we have sanitized several times, and still had a bad taste. So just before taking it to Florida for the winter I removed the bladder tank from the system. That fixed the bad taste. Did the bad taste come from the bladder tank in the first place? Or did the chlorine damage the bladder tank? I plan to install a new bladder tank. Maybe the old bladder tank was for hot water heat, not potable water. I have not removed it from the mh. yet.

OK, I gotta ask, why a bladder tank?
bumpy
I was wondering the same thing :H
Do you mean an accumulator tank/pressure tank?
Yes. Most places with a well have a bladder type pressure tank, an accumulator tank is the same thing but much smaller.
All the bladder does is keep the water from absorbing the air.
