At least $10K over priced but I suspect the listed price is about what the seller owes the bank considering the indication of a bank lien with regards to the vehicle title.
Yep! My bet, the asking price is close to what the current owner owes the bank, not the current value to you as a private party. What you want is the best deal, . . . . . for YOU! I don't know about the factory coach warranty, but, the chassis warranty is about to expire due to time with very low miles. Everyone has to determine the units value for themselves, but, on this one I would go with the Rick Harrison (of Pawn Stars) theory and shoot the seller a low offer of $35,000. Then be prepared for sparks to fly. IMO, the current asking price ($65,900) isn't going to happen. On second thought, although the pics show the unit in a country setting and it appears to be a private party sale, this ad has dealer sale written all over it. The ideal purchase would best be made from the private party, not their agent, if that's the case.

Wow,, so are the Thor class C junk too ?? What’s a good well made brand ?? Winnie ?
Newmar, Winnebago, Tiffin are 3 I can think of off the top of my head. Yes THOR is JUNK in my opinion. - fred42ExplorerI like this site for learning about used units:
http://www.rvguide.com/specs/thor-motor-coach/class-a/2015/a-c-e-/29-2.html
Oddly, to look for used RV specs on this site you click on the NEW RV'S tab.
What would bother me with this one beyond what is already mentioned is:
Wheelbase/length ratio = .535 (not the worst, but not great)
GVWR = 16000
Together these two things can lead to poor handling. - luberhillExplorerWow,, so are the Thor class C junk too ?? What’s a good well made brand ?? Winnie ?
- Tom_BarbExplorerMy sister bought one of those, in two years it has virtually fallen apart, not a single system in the rig has had no problems.
- Dick_BExplorerIs it really the RV you want? IMHO that factors into the price because a `deal' on an RV that doesn't work for you is not a deal.

I wouldn't buy a Thor Ace if it were the last RV available in the world and someone "gave" me the $$$ to buy it. It is a big POS. Just read an article somewhere how the whole thing is stapled together and basically sub par construction.
but it is a Thor. the quality goes in before the name goes on. you bet.

Clicky
NADA low retail value is $50,900.
And most dealers would be happy to give one about $35K on trade, slap it out on the lot with a big yellow label at average retail of 61K then ultimately sell for $50K or so.mtofell1 wrote:
The key to not losing your butt with RVs is buying them right. After buying/selling a half dozen RVs over the years and shopping pretty much non-stop (just kind of a hobby) I've found a given unit is worth about 50% of the msrp in the 3-4 year old range. That puts your prospective coach around 50-55K.
Most sellers have their heads in the clouds because they paid far too much originally.
