IVECO Daily's replacing Sprinters in Australia

Seemingly the Class C Motorhome base of choice at the moment is the RWD IVECO Daily, from Fiat's Truck Division.
It comes in many combinations, with a 2.3 litre and 3 litre Diesels(Same as in the Promaster), but capacities stretching to 15,400lb GVWR and 23,000lb GCVWR..it is rated at 3.5 Tonne towing or 7,700lb.or 7,200lb with the full 15,400lb GVWR
It has airbag suspension and a 8 speed Automatic Latest version in first photo

Has a 9,000lb payload as a Cab Chassis

It is useful towing.

    Wow!

3 liter diesel engine with a 23,000 GCVWR?

Our F-350 towing a travel trailer is only rated at 12,000 pounds using a 300+ HP 6.7L diesel engine. I guess using a 8 speed automatic really helps out or the RV towing a 5,000 pound load will be going really slow on the freeway. . .

No they are not slow Fred, these as a Van , can hit 115mph
Used a lot to tow 5th Wheelers, in this case a 36ft Cardinal. Too keep up with a Super Duty up a hill, they inject LPG into the Diesel. This person has been using his very strengthened RV for seven years. Gives you an idea of the size of the cab chassis
