HF tools are always a gamble. Mine works well but I expect the blue smoke will come out as soon as I really need it.
Lug nuts can be on super-tight. I also carry the biggest T-shape lug wrench you can buy, and a 1/2-inch galvanized pipe to serve as a breaker bar on a half-inch ratchet.
I was impressed that a Discount Tire technician used an actual torque wrench (!) when he put on my wheels recently. Amazing.
I have an HF digital torque meter that I am using to gradually reset all my other lug nuts to 140 lbs spec. For $30 it is useful to have. Again, I expect it will fall apart because it is HF but still an amazingly handy device for $30.
