A lot depends on the space and weight available. Bringing "ideal" equipment to deal with a flat tire could over-load your chassis and also take up a lot of precious cargo space.
I admit I have never used my Slime repair kit air compressor with alligator clips. I have no idea how it will perform. At the same time, I assume it will get the job done. It might take as long as it takes me to enjoy lunch while waiting, but I am okay with that.
I have been vacationing in motor homes since 1983 and have never had a flat tire during a long vacation or even a weekend get-away. I just want to be able to take care of us "IF" it ever happens. If the process is inefficient because of a wimpy air compressor, I can accept it. Hopefully it happens in a safe place where the sights are grand. Not on the shoulder of an interstate highway with no place to exit.
I carry a light weight, compact, cheap, tire-repair/tire-change insurance plan. The bulk of the weight carried is the spare tire itself.
