We do quite a bit - sometimes off-pavement where ERS won't go anyway - but also of course most of the time on paved surfaces where there is no cell coverage like was the case on our recent 10,000+ mile excursion this fall.

Cell coverage where we go is always unreliable at best. Coverage or not, I feel good being adequately equipped to take care of myself. If I can't handle the task alone (which I can) people are so friendly, eager to assist, as am I in reverse. I hear by the time help arrives from a call center, I will have lost a good part of the day, sometimes worse.

My cheap insurance plan is taking care of myself. Now I wonder if you thought I maintain a real flat tire insurance plan. That is not the case.
