JACKNIFE SOFA?

There should be a short metal lever under the bottom cushion in the middle, barely sticks out the front edge. Push the lever towards the front of the coach and lift.

I found not the bottom but between the front and lower edge of cushion is where you have to lift.

I had pulled on the front panel and it comes off STRIGHT UP so I had bent the mounting brackets
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE ARM RESTS OFF TO CHANGE FROM SOFA TO BED

Our sofa also opens by pulling upward and outward on underside, front frame. Closing you have to pull upward, pushin in on the front, underside frame while at the same time pulling up on the rear frame.

all of my jack knives opened by lifting up on the front which sort of shifted things to the front and it laid down semi-flat. that is how I assume yours in the winnie does. others are sort of roll over and the back rotates over the front and lays down in front of the seat cushions.
