HaHa! We did the same thing for our 2 boxers. Back seat came out of our '10 Wrangler and a couple of dog beds went in. They love it. There are 4 of us... 2 two leggers and 2 four leggers. ;)
And to the OP, we love our Wrangler. Is it the most comfy... Not by a long way! Is it gas efficient...ummm no on that too. Are they the safest? Nope! Most reliable? Probably not. Is it COOL? oh ya! Does it go where we want to go? Definitely!
It is very easy to get ready to tow. Just shift a couple of gears and DH always takes a fuse out and you're good to go. We have the Brake Buddy tow bar system and you can tell a difference when the Jeep brakes as opposed to when they don't. We figured that out once when DH loosened the cable too much and the Jeep brakes didn't engage at all.
