Just bought 2014 Allegro RED 33AA, need help!

Hello,

We just purchased a 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA. We need some help with how some things work.

First of all, how does one turn on the Block Heater? I can't find a switch anywhere.

Second, the TV's were set up for Direct TV using the In-motion dish on the roof. They took out the Dish receiver. Not a problem for me as I don't want to use it anyway. Our problem is I can't seem to get an antenna signal to any of the TV's. What is the cable from the roof mounted TV antenna labeled and where does it enter the coach?

Third, there is a 12 volt fan continuously running in the electronic cabinet in the bedroom. Is there any way to shut it off?

Fourth, this coach does not have the central vacuum but it does have the basement slide out storage tray. Is there any way to retrofit the central vacuum with this configuration?

Fifth, the 'O' on the Allegro sign on the passenger sign is missing. Tiffin doesn't sell just individual letters and wants $61 for the entire sign. Any ideas on where to get jut an 'O'?

Finally, is there a water shutoff valve for the icemaker in the residential refrigerator? If so, where is it located?

Also where can I get a wiring diagram for the TV/entertainment system and the rest of the coach?

Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Gridley
  • Have you gone to tiffinmotorhomes.com, should be able to get the wiring diagram. Call Tiffin if you can't find it. A tech will help.
  • 1. On your model, the block heater is a manual cord plug in a outside compartment area in the rear
    2. The Roof top antenna system is completely separate from the Sat system. There should be a wall booster up front in one of the overhead cabinets close to the dash area
    3. Even as a dealer, we have to buy the complete decal just for missing letters
    4. The FAN is for the HDMI switch boxes in the entertainment center and MUST be ON to keep them from overheating. 2014, I don't know if Tiffin installed the ON OFF switch like current models to turn that fan OFF. The switch is inside the rear cabinet and looks like a brown regular house light switch.
    5. The shut off valve is located on the outside behind the refer. You remove the outside refer access door to find it. Doug
  • Yes, almost any MH can be retrofitted with a central vacuum system. Costly and wouldn't be fourth on my list however.
  • Gridley, in case you are unaware, there is a site dedicated to Tiffin owners at Tiffin RV Network. You will have much more response from knowledgeable owners there, including a great many with exactly the same coach as your's. Select the fourth link down, register, then go back to the third link down and get on the forum. You can cut and paste your question from this thread and sit back and wait.
  • Block Heaters are usually just plug in to a cord...
Your TV may just need the antenna booster switch pressed on. Look for it where the main TV has a 12 volt cig lighter plug in. It is a tiny button on there and glows red when on.
I would say yes for the icemaker, usually in the bottom of the fridge area.
You can't get wiring diagrams. You just have to figure it out.
  • Phew I'm on overload.
There is another site (irv2) that has discussion by make/model that could answer all your questions.
But I have to ask, when you bought the coach did anyone go over the systems with you?
