Just bought a 97 Georgie Boy Pursuit

Just purchased a 1997 Georgie Boy Pursuit. Not sure of the model but it has a Ford engine and 16 inch tires. I assume it is a ford chassis It is supposed to be 30 ft long It has 1 slide. 42,492 miles on the odometer. I took it for a test run and it ran good even 75 mph on the freeway. Anyone in the forum that has one. No manuals but I can probably figure things out. I did download a Manual from coachman, but it is not much help without me knowing the exact model number. Any help or advise is appreciated. I had to correct this post the tires are 16 inch and I found out that the unit is a M-3200 32 1/2 foot long

  • Model number and some other information should be posted on a manufactures sticker somewhere. Look in cabinets, under or around drivers area, under dash, etc. Usually there is at least one for the weights, tires, and/or other features. Look in the back of kitchen cabinets, especially near the entrance door.
  • You can also download manuals for the water heater, furnace, frig etc. Just look for the make/model of the appliance you have.

Congratulations on your purchase. I do hope you don't continue to drive 75 mph though - do you realize how much weight you have and how long it takes to stop?
  • How old are them tires that you are risking your life on?
Service manuals can be downloaded from http://bryantrv.com/docs.html hope they have yours
  • Congrats! I bought a 98 Cruise Master (97 chassis) about 1.5 yr ago. Hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

Yes I do as I have owned several a lot bigger and heavyer than this one. I only took it to 75 for a test the tires are dated 2 years ago. I normally drive any RV 55 to 60.

I had a 96 Cruise Master that took us all over the country. We would spend six months out of the year for about six years in it. It's a good rig.

To the OP and other GBM owners, check out Kirk's website. When I first got my GBM I stumbled across this former RV.Net member. What he wrote up and also PM'ed me made a world of a difference in our first Class A adventure.
  • also go to IRV2.com, there are owners forums... perhaps you can get a bunch of info there. I have found it helpful for my National Tradewinds 2001.......
  • Both my 1990 CruiseMaster and this Landau had a sheet posted inside on the back of the bedroom closet door with model number, VIN, date of Mfgr and the serial numbers and manufacturer of all appliances, LP and holding tanks etc.
    (See Johno02 post above...)
Specs for the 99 Ford Chassis are here: 1999 GeorgieBoy
