One bit of advice more toward the drivetrain side. One problem with old RVs is low mileage. In the sense they dont get driven enough. Motor and drivetrains dont like to sit for long periods of time. Depending on how much the old owners drove it is something ot think about. Keep an eye under it for leaks and monitor them. A little here or little there can happen but keep an eye on it just in case.
And some advice from one first owner to another....
Im 41 and in the years I've owned my RV, life can get in the way and it sits in storage, never getting a chance to get out.... Next thing ya know, a year goes by. To help keep issues at bay, I try to get over at least once every 3 months, start it, let idle for a bit, fire up the generator and play with all gadgets. Pump some water through all the fixtures, and the toilet. (Keeps the seals from drying out and water cycling through the lines) and I pull it out of its space and at drive around the storage complex a few laps just to get the tires moving and get the transmission to shift and seals to turn.
That said, enjoy it!
