I hate that your vacation time has been hit with weather "anomalies", but that does make it memorable.
We went to bed to 40 degree temps and woke up to 5-6 inches of pure white snow. The campground was so quiet and peaceful and it was a fabulous experience. The temps were in the low 30s and it warmed up enough that afternoon to melt 90% of the snow and then was completely gone by the next morning. One of our most memorable camping trips.
We have spent the night on the floor of the bath house at Gulf State Park while tornados were hitting all around us. We did grab some pillows and a couple of beach blankets on our way. We were more comfortable than some.
Some of our most fun times have occurred when it rained for days on end and we were forced to sit and talk, read and play games inside the RV.
