Anyone know why there are two kits for the '99 - current F53 front suspension? '99-'05 and '06-current? Two different prices shown too.
I know the suspension changed in '04, so that could explain some difference, but $300 and that doesn't match the year they show?
And no difference for 16K (6500 pound front axle) to 26k (9000 pound front axle) units? Same replacement "softer" leaf spring and airbag for all? Maybe they just don't show the specifics on the website?
And (another "and", sorry) they mention the kits being a "generation II air ride". Have they changed their system over time? Was there a generation I?
When the front Kilderman system is installed, the new Kilderman springs dont support the chassis like the old OEM springs did before, so the coach weight is supported through the large Kilderman air bags instead of the springs.
The new Kilderman springs, are there more or less to keep the axle in its normal
location like the old springs did, but those heavy air bags do the work that the old OEM spring had to do before.
The softer Kilderman springs, will compress & flex easier than the old stiff OEM springs & the coach will be riding on the cushion of air inside the air bags.
You view the Kilderman product & study it as to how it works & it is amazing what a change it will make in the ride of an F53 coach.

You are correct. I think the ride on my 35 G is even better with Keldermann than my 30 T with Kelderman.. Not only very smooth but more stable and level. I am running 51 in driver side and 39 on passenger .
