Keyless Entry
I have a keyless entry on my 2007 E450 Ford motorhomem. Is this normal and others have the entry also?

I never thought of key less entry on the motor home - don't know why - it makes sense to have it.
I checked on Ebay and the key FOBs I see, say they don't work on a 2013 E450. Is it safe to assume the data base just hasn't been updated to include the 2013, or is there actually something different in this year's model ?- jdog sounds like you also have alarm, usually that what a flashing light on the dash means. I also found some key fobs on Amazon and will give them a try.
Glad you started this forum. Dick - No one has the red dash light?

After reading this thread, I contacted Winnebago because the entry door has never (6 years) worked with the electric locks. Winnebago verified that the door SHOULD work with the electric locks. They said all Winnebagos/Itascas have that installed.
I took an analog multimeter outside and put the probes on the contacts on the door frame and had DW alternately lock and unlock the electric locks. The needle didn't move.
I took the two screws out that held the contacts on the door frame and pulled it off. The contacts were NOT PLUGGED INTO THE MH WIRING! I used a flashlight to look into the hole and saw the two wires that SHOULD have been on the contact plate. I used some needle nose pliers to pull the connectors out and plugged them onto the back of the contacts, and screwed it back in place.

If your power door locks ever quit on the coach door, don't panic. Use a pencil eraser to clean the brass contacts in the door frame. If that doesn't work, then check the wiring to the contacts as it is apparently prone to coming apart.
VOILA! THE ENTRY DOOR NOW WORKS WITH THE ELECTRIC LOCKS! If I had known it was that easy to fix, I would have fixed it 6 years ago!triple602 wrote:

If it is a Ford chassis, yes!- For anyone wanting keyless entry where it was not factory installed this kit works good.
