Is your KVH R5SL powered by AC or 12 volt power? Here's why I ask - We have a KVH R5SL in motion Sat dish that we have been using with Standard Definition DVR's for the entire time we have been full-time. The only time we had a problem with the KVH was when the batteries started getting a little older in the coach and the sat dish would just spin and spin looking for a signal. Turned out to be a low voltage situation that KVH was aware of because I found a Technical Bulletin on their website recommending adding an AC power supply instead of using the 12volt that it came with. Funny thing was when talking to KVH tech reps, they didn't suggest checking the power supply. I had to hunt it down on their own website. It was published March 24, 2008.
