Leaky Toilet

Just de winterized rv and it looks like I have a small leak behind the toilet up top. It is a Thetford Aqaua Magic 5 foot pedal and I thin it may be the water module assembly. Two questions:
1. Is the repair as easy as it looks on YouTube?
2. Do you think that Fix a Leak product you see on TV could work here?

Thanks for your opinion.
  • I think the poster is talking about a new valve assembly. I have a new valve on order and also hope it is as easy as some say. As to part 2 of there post, I would not try that. Dick
  • I dunno about this toilet, but I can tell you that my personal experience with quick-fix leak-stop products has always been that they are guaranteed losers. Even if they do manage to stop the leak, it is only temporary, and only a proper replace-part fix is worth the effort.

Maybe I'm off base here, but there's no way I kick the can down the road like that. Much better to bite the bullet and fix it right the first time.
