Let me describe a standard 1157 lamp
Stop/Turn lead----Element---T---Element---Tail/marker lead.
Connected to the "T" is the ground,
IF the ground is not bad you have ----Stop/turn-----Elements----Tail/marker
I have played that "ground" game many a time with trailers, etc. The first thing I checked was the ground going to the bulb bases.
This is not a ground problem. This a problem due to the design of the LED bulb.
Both the tail light and turn signal circuitry share the same LEDs. There is a resistor built in to the tail light circuitry to show a dimmer light.
I think a diode on the incoming tail light feed will correct the back feed problem. If not, I will return the LED bulbs and buy new 1157s.
I have replaced 3 1157 incandescent bulbs since October. They may have been originals and would be 15 years old.
