led step light

While at thousands trails, Orlando Fl, last winter I saw a m/h with two very bright led marker lights over their steps into the m/h.
The lights were very bright, if anyone knows where to buy the lights
I would really like to know, these lights were only about 3/4 to 1" in size.

Thanks
Bill
  • Amazon 16.5 feet (cut to length) - 12vdc multi-color water proof LED's - $24 HERE

Theyre available in shorter lengths & in SINGLE color versions too....while they can be bought with the AC to DC power supply they can also be hard wired to a 12v dc source directly.

  • Take a walk down a lowes or home depot lighting aisle and be prepared to be amazed of the hundreds of different led lights there are.

solar motion activated is the way I went for the steps.not drilling any holes in my MH. :W
  • "Old Blue"....Walmart, in the automotive section, sells LED strip lights. They have a pack with two 12" led strips with 3M backing. They're very bright and come in different colors. They're about $11.00. I bought the white set, and stuck them just above the steps on the frame. I tied the wires into the useless amber light under the steps.

The advantage of using the above, is they have lead wires attached, are 12" in length and can be wired directly into the 12 volt amber light.
  • I back lit our steps (makes it very easy to see at night) w/ a strip of waterproof (adhesive backed) LED's....very simple job, picked up 12vdc off the step power and added a switch inside the door to manual turn the lights on or off.

I'll probably change out the RED strip to match a multi color strip like the one i installed under the awning. 25 bucks for 16.5 feet including the controller & power supply (which you may not need).
  • I just recently rebuilt our kwickee steps, new bushings, powder coated the steps, new anti skids, and installed LED trailer marker lights, 3 total one under each step. VERY happy with the result.

here's a blog post. I need to add a pic of the step lights, they are great!

  • Try these. I leave them on all the time, and they stay cool.
