When I have LED in my camper for energy saving and in my car for having white markers matching high-discharge headlight, my house has about 60 LED bulbs/lights.
Some of them are direct fit into 120V sockets, some are run by 12C DC converters.
I bought them all directly from China and only 1 design would fail the electronic in the matter of weeks. Those happen to be most expensive bulbs for chandelier, but ebay pushed the seller to refund me the money.
My family room lights installed almost year ago run average 6hr a day just fine.
When it is hard to predict if those bulbs will last lifetime, my house is using 52% less energy than average house of this size, or 20% less than energy-efficient (solar) homes.
I don't have solars as with such low energy use they make no sense here.
