They will have a blast. The CG is fine especially for that age. When you go to LEGOLAND if you can swing it, go when schools are in session and during the week and go early. We almost had the park to ourselves before lunch. If they are into Star Wars, you won't believe the set up they have in the middle. Also take note of the Nascar setup. There are a bunch of class A's (lego) in the infield. Made me want to build my own.

I would agree, but as an adult I have to admit, it was a blast!

Ended up not making the trip, but had talked to folks at Cypress about taking our Cub Scout Pack last year, and they were very helpful. We were looking at going in June, after all the snowbirds have long left and were willing to work with us to keep our costs where we needed them to be. We were wanting to stay there for the convenience. As Effy said, remember you are there to go to Legoland, not for nature camping.

Can't comment on actually having stayed at a CG as I live in Winter Haven, but I drive by Cypress CG all the time. I've often thought it looked like one I'd consider staying at. There's a WalMart next door, and Legoland isn't far at all and an easy drive straight up Cypress Gardens Blvd., so it would be very convenient.

Legoland used to be Cypress Gardens, and there is still some of the original gardens within the park. They haven't developed the area much except for Legoland. Your choices are really limited as far as CG's. We stayed in Cypress CG mainly because it's the only one very close to the park. Wasn't the best CG I've stayed in but it wasn't the worst. They have a pool and game room and a little library for kids. Pretty quiet, some perm sites. But you're not there to camp, you're there for Legoland so it doesn't really matter.
