Lenders that don't require recent comparable purchase?

I live in GA and a Bank of the West subsidiary (I don't remember now) approved me for a loan when I was planning to purchase from a private individual. I also was approved by my Credit Union (Navy Federal, so nationwide), but they only go a shorter time, and I wanted longer, so payments were lower. Private sale fell through, so I ended up buying from a dealer and they found the best rate for me at Bank of America.
