Leveler Foot

Returning from a trip we had a foot or one of the levelers come off. Does anyone know how to re-attach? Thanks.
  • He has a 2011 FR Berkshire. It depends on the brand system. If Lippert, the pad just bolts on. If HWH and the fact it is a 2011, the odds are the pad is bolted on. Newer HWH have a bevel cone washer with a bolt that holds the jack pad ON. The springs have nothing to do with it with the new mount. Doug
  • Wear safety glasses and a coverall or old clothes! Park over a low spot in the Walmart Parking lot to give Yourself lots of Belly Room!

Slide underneath..attach both springs above and to the plate!

Pull down on the Plate and gently slide it under the retracted Jack.

    Voila!
  • HWH with the round foot and two springs?

If so, I saw a mechanic do ours in Mexico. He wasn't very big but he was strong!

Make sure the strut is fully retracted. You may have to open the relief valve and push it up manually.

Attach both springs so the disk is hanging vertically along side the strut.

This is where you need the strength: Pull the disc down sliding it along the strut until you can get the center of the strut to catch in the center of the disk. Hold it there, relax a bit, then twist the disk sideways and on it goes.

If you want to know why we needed to put it back on, or just want a smile, check out this page of our blog.

Sounds easy and he made it look easy but I know I couldn't have done it. Took him just a couple of minutes once the piston was fully retracted.

And this is why the left rear appeared lower.

Here is where were we discovered it and got it fixed.

What's the Make/Model of the Leveler?

That information might be useful for one of us to help you, but my first blush is that if it's a hydraulic system like HWH or BigFoot, their online or phone tech support might be your first line of defense.
