leveling system

Finally chose Bullseye for our 31' class C because electric is simpler to install by yourself and should be more reliable (legs can't drift down because of some slow hydraulic leak). I designed and fabricated the 4 bolt-on brackets. Total system cost about $2800 and probably 70 hours of my labor (lots of time underneath measuring details of the frame rails to make the brackets). I didn't want to weld at left-rear location because it was about 2" from gasoline filler tube! Just finish 1st trip; system works perfectly. I put the remote control in an old VHS tape box, at end of it's 20' cable. This way I can be outside and watch legs extend while holding the remote. This seems superior to mounting it in truck dash. Also, put the 60amp fuse at the Control Module-end of the 6-gage 12VDC cable so you easily disconnect from your house batteries during system calibration.

I have just had a set of Bullseye leveling jacks installed on my 30' 1987 Holiday Rambler Class A. (Installation done 2/3 days ago) They are fantastic. Completely motorized (not hydraulic), and I got the retracting type, which pull up into a "stowed" horizontal position. The system is completely automatic. There are 3 different jack weight options.

Mine were installed on a Chevy P30 chassis. These retractable ones are attached to the BOTTOM surface of the frames. The front had to be installed forward of the front wheels because of normal location (right behind front suspension) impediments. The rear jacks are in the usual place, just aft of the rear spring hangers. After calibration - to tell the system what is coach-level - the leveling process takes about a minute from stowed to level and shutdown.

We checked into 2 different systems and the price tag of $4000+ made us decide to use blocks which are a PITA!

We had auto levellers on our class A - guess that spoiled us and we miss them on our smaller unit.

Have BigFoot system installed at factory. Love it!

Mine are all metal. None have broken. But they have come apart. Put them back. Together with loctite.

If you buy the BIGFOOT system they send you the info on how they should be mounted. IIRC the info may also be on their web-site.

We have a class c with hwh levelers and love them. Worth every penny. Ours bolt on to the frame right behind the cab and just in front of the spare in the back. We have the auto leveling system and it does a good job every time.
