Auto Leveling System

We have a 2015 Cougar 5th wheel with an auto leveling system that works great. However, on rare occasions we've had to level manually. Once we do that we can't figure out how to reset the system so it goes back to auto level mode.

The manual doesn't seem to cover this so that we can figure it out.

Can anyone tell us how to reset in simple terms?

Thanks
  • Turn it off then back on. Should then be in same mode as you started. If you are trying to Auto level with all legs down it may not like that (I have only used it with just the landing legs down.)
  • Do yourself a favor and go to Lippert's website and download the three PDF manuals they have there. You want the ones for Ground Control 3.0.

I printed them out and three-hole punched them and put them into my binder containing all my manuals. They are quite well written and very easy to follow. The troubleshooting one in particular is very good for most of the situations an owner might encounter. The system is actually very basic, which is a good thing.
  • Like RangerEZ said, get the manual. There is a process to zero the jacks. It sounds like that is what you need to do.

There is also an app for your iPhone from lippert that I have okn my phone. It has the same information but also includes many other lippert product directions.
  • Unless you are a full timer and moving often the auto leveling system is an unneeded luxury.
  • Just re zero the system. I just did mine last week as it was almost an inch off. Sometimes a low voltage situation will occur and "flash" the memory requiring a re zero. Not very hard to do at all. Just dl the manual and follow the steps. Good Luck!
