Ask around in your area for a reliable RV shop to take a look at it.
In addition to checking out your dimming lights, they should be able to explain to you what you need to do for routine battery maintenance.
You are to be commended for admitting your own limitations.
It is possible that it is a normal result of the converter/charger cycling on and off.....IF it is attached to a source of 110 V power when this happens, including a generator.
