Limit switch wiring for furnace

I replaced my sail switch and limit switch on my suburban P 40 furnace. I took pictures of sail wiring hook up but had no pictures of which wires connected on the limit switch. I took a chance and connected the way thought they were. Does it matter which way the connections are? It seems to be working OK now.
