Lippert 195860 leveling jack

I've got a leaking leveling jack that needs to be replaced, and I've got a shop that can and will do the labor to replace it, but I've got a question concerning the part access. When I do a search online, I find essentially two sources for the part. One source is LCI, which has the part available for $512 plus tax and shipping, The other source is Winnebago Outdoor, through Amazon, which is offering the part for $215 plus shipping. I have never dealt with nor have I heard of Winnebago Outdoor, and there is no information as to the condition of the part, not even if it is new or used. Should I go with the "sure thing",even though it is almost $300 more?
  • According to the website, Winnie Outdoor is in Forest City Iowa and probably a Winne on line parts seller. Note that your jack is 8k and the larger jack is almost $150 more. If I needed the jack, I would order it thru Amazon. Doug
  • For a point of reference, a few months ago I needed two new hydraulic lines for my PowerGear/LCI jacks. A call to Lippert's part department told me it would be three to four weeks and cost $600 for a complete set of hoses. That's the only way they would sell them, as a complete set.

Called my dealer about the same set of hoses, which would be covered under warranty, and then were able to get the same set of hoses, shipped directly to me, shipped in two days, and the cost to the dealer was less than half, of which was picked up by warranty.

Not sure I like the way LCI treats their "retail" customers!!!!

You can also check with Visone RV in Kentucky which is a recycling yard and see what they have available and a price. If I need something, I try to give them a call for availability and pricing.
  • seeing they have the same jack with a diff part number sounds like it is what is called new old stock you can always give them a call and ask directly
  • It is manufactured by Lippert, but it is sold and shipped by Winnebago Outdoor. It could be used, reconditioned, or even defective. There is only 1 in stock, so I have to wonder whether they normally deal with this part at all.
  • Yes, I know, but can I be sure this is a new part in new condition? Has anyone ever done business with this vendor (I mean Winnebago Outdoor, not Amazon)?
