If you want to put an alcohol based fluid in your tires you go for it. The normal liquid used for balancing such as Slime or other brands will freeze at -35'C + which is common around here from mid November to March. I prefer to pay the small cost and put beads in all my tires which is a product that is tested and approved for use by tire manufacturers and that I know will work under ALL conditions without the possibility of damage to the tires, the vehicle or life and limb.
