- AH64IDExplorerAlmost always unlocked, but we are the only ones I know that do it that way. Everyone shows up and has to unlock their camper and it makes me laugh to myself.
The only time mine is locked for traveling is if we stop at a store where I feel it needs locking. - MarkTwainExplorer

When you are traveling down the road, do you leave the exterior locked or unlocked?
I always lock my exterior compartments. Doors 99% of time.
But wouldn't it be nice if you needed a first responder, they could just open the door to rescue you? That is if you left a door unlocked.
Pro's and con's with everything.
X2, I always leave the door unlocked when traveling in case their was a fire, I could try and save any valuables. I also lock the compartments when traveling. - path1Explorer

My logic is twofold: 1) by using the lock, the door is less likely to come open while driving down the highway; and 2) if I'm at a stop, I don't have to worry about someone jumping into the RV.
