I believe that the dishwasher soap has an anti-foaming agent in it. First dishwasher we had I decided that we didn't need dishwasher soap, regular dish soap would work. We all know how that ended. If you're not sure give it a try. LOL

- naturistNomadObviously depends on how hard you agitate it, but we've been using a brand called Seventh Generation that you have to work on to get much foaming.
