- kdkExplorerI have 06 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40 foot, 4 slide DP with a rear window that is also an emergency exit. I like the idea of having a exit in the bed room in case of fire in the front while in bed. Got some awesome views also. So they are manufactured.

The OP also asked for IDEAS. :R - azdryheatExplorerOP said he's looking for a DP with a rear window.
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIII had a Monaco 3011 gasser with a rear living room and windows on three sides. I thought it was a great layout.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIThere's a number of gasser Class A's with rear windows, but it's typically over the bed, so not much help for sight seeing. We just pull in the other way around when there's a good view behind the site.
- path1ExplorerCopy and paste'd from rule book. My copy from 2008, might of been changes in the one or two newer additions, so double check. Appears to me rear window on motor homes are legal if they comply with below. (I know for sure the OEM's got water pressure spec's changed (lowered) in newer additions, so for sure double check). So a lot depends of date of manufacture to what rules they play by.
6.4.3.5 Vents or windows that can be opened for ventilation shall not be installed in the rear wall of motor home and truck campers.
6.4.3.6 Normally unopenable alternate exit windows shall be permitted in rear walls.
6.4.3.7 Rear entry doors with fixed windows shall be permitted in truck campers.
6.4.3.8 Rear entry doors with fixed windows shall be permitted in motor homes, provided that no combustion exhausts discharge from the rear of the vehicle. - azdryheatExplorerIt's either a closet or the bathroom back there, never a window. Nose your DP into the space and you get the view.
- Hoot887ExplorerI have a backup camera that I think is as good as a rear window. Most DPs have cameras.
- Mile_HighExplorerI feel your pain :) We had 3 5th wheels with the big back window and that was the only models we would consider. Our MH is totally front window oriented. Even the side windows get fewer as you move back.
It hasn't bothered us too much, but at times I felt like turning it around and running the cord underneath :) - Bruce_BrownModeratorI don't ever recall seeing a DP with a rear window. With all of the air intake plumbing and other stuff I'm not sure it would be reasonably possible.
