We are having the same dilemma, used vs new, with the price differential being 20K more for new vs 4 year old used, comparable models.
My experience with my TT was, the 1st 5 years cabin items pretty much trouble free, while 2nd 5 years+ items start breaking (water pump, converter, water heater, water leak, awning, yada-yada). So if we buy new unit, pay 20K for 5 years of trouble free service (disregarding small warranty fixes by dealer).
In our case, we have set a timetable: by 4/1/15 we are going to order a new unit, likely a Georgetown 329, unless we find a used "just like new" model that just can't be passed up. So far, we have not been able to find such a unit and we've been shopping for 2 years! If you have, you may want to jump on it...
It has been said by many here "buy your last motorhome first". Words of wisdom.
I'm done now :)
