We started with a TC back in the early 1980's. Progressed to a Class C until the kids got in middle school and had too many activities to justify keeping the Class C. Now retired and on our second 5th wheel. I miss a TC. Something I could pull the boat with or just bug out by myself and cover some ground fast. I think I would like a Northern Lite or Bigfoot. Wolf Creek or Lance maybe. There aren't too many TC's in Texas, and fewer dealers. I'm looking on the internet for used. About all I can find is Camping World, and they don't have much. I have a 2016 Ram 3500 SRW Cummins long bed. 4018# payload, but I don't want to push it. Any suggestions on websites for TC's?

Take a trip to the Northwest or look in the Northwest. We have plenty. The normal sites apply: Rvtrader, Craigslist, Ebay, and even Youtube.Do understand how to inspect a RV to look for potential problems.

Craiglist. SF Bay area had tons of them when I was looking for mine. I got a sweet deal on a two year old Lance 1055 that originally sold in the 30K range for 20k in mint condition.

All good info. Thanks. I'm looking for something about 2,500# dry. Figure add 1,000# for stuff, and leave some breathing room.I called on a Northern Lite today in CA. They had the listing info all wrong. I just don't want to go on a 2,000 mile wild goose chase.I'm not a RV guru but I think I can do a basic PDI and spot water damage.I haven't checked Craigs or ebay. Hey Txgearhead, If you get serious about new you might call Boardman Motors in Pueblo West Colorado. They sell Wolfcreek and AF. One of the camper dealers that can sell for less. The owner and

his family will treat you great. They are about 1000 miles from you, but you could camp near them and try it all out before you leave the area. Make a great trip.
I am from Houston myself and I know a TC is a rare sight down there. Truck camper Magazine picked up a Wolfcreek to review a year or so ago from Boardman Motors. It's a good read.

I have looked at PrinessCraft's website off and on for awhile. I did call them this morning and had a good chat. Discussed pros and cons of what I think I want. Of course they brought up buying a new one from them a few times. They sound like good folks. Might take a drive to Round Rock just to get a feel of the place and look around.
I'm thinking I will have better luck finding a Lance around here just for the fact there are so few TC's in Texas. A Lance 850 fits what I think I want, if not a Northern Lite.
Trying to avoid a trip to Seattle to look at a camper.

We found our 2002 Northern Lite 10-2 (on a 2002 Dodge dually) on craigslist two years ago, flew from Denver to Spokane to inspect it, bought it, and drove it back to Denver. We have been happy with our purchase.

Right there in Texas is camper manufacturer Capri Campers. The Capris aren't fancy or expensive. They're very functional and good quality. They're also very popular with the cowboy/rodeo/roping crowd. We have alot of rodeo activity around here and I see lots of out of state trucks with Capri campers on them, pulling horse trailers behind. I also see the Capris on trucks pulling boats out to the lake.
