Looking for Dash CAM

Hello -

Well, another season is getting close and I'm looking for a new gadget for the MH. Since I was cutoff and almost hit last year in the MH, I've decided on a Dash CAM. Anyone using them and which model would you recommend? I'm currently looking at the DVR207.

TIA,
-paul

I have a Go-Pro, It is a little pricey but it does what it says. I switch it out to what every vehicle we are in. They have mounts for just about any thing. They start out at $199 to $399. You can get them up to 12 mp. Amazon has them on sale every once in a while. They did have a bad bios update but that was corrected pretty fast.

I like the dedicated dash cams because they can be set up to automatically turn on and off with the vehicles ignition. And they automatically overwrite old files.

  • I had tried three different dvr207 types from three different suppliers. None of them worked properly. I understand that there are bogus look alike units being sold, but haven't figured out how to weed out the bad ones. One of them works some of the time, I have tossed two of them away.
I just received this one a couple of days ago and so far it seems to be the one.
The other ones came direct shipped from China and I could not return them. This one through Walmart "should" be easier to return should the need arise.
First impressions are that this one is much better and seems to do the job without any issues, time will tell.
  • That is what I just ordered. It has the best reviews on all the geek websites...$45 with free shipping through eBay
