Hello! We are having an issue with our coach batteries.
We lost electricity indefinitely in our house due to hurricane Rita, so we are camping in our driveway right now.
When we start the engine, we read the voltage of the coach batteries, which is maxed out. (This is done without any coach lights on). Once the engine is turned off, the voltage drops...fast from 13.5 to 8...in a few seconds. I have checked the water in the batteries, and the water level is perfect. The solar panel is showing that it is receiving a charge during the day.
Could the coach batteries be bad?? Is this what happens when the batteries are going bad?
My husband is in management with a home improvement company, and he is off working after the hurricanes, so I am trying to take care of this on my own. I appreciate any advice! Take care!
