- Meme_RayExplorerI looked through our service records and we replaced our plug wires with AC Delco with life time warranty - part number 88984269 Wire Kit 2.239. You will also want to get the Workhorse air flow kit W8005026 to eliminate any future burnt plugs and wires.

Just wondering, did you replace the plug wires? I was thinking on replacing the plugs and wires after this season and wondering what plug wires some are going with.Rich & Cheri' wrote:
Was having misfires and rough running at high speeds and when accelerating at higher speeds. Checked spark plugs and they were very bad. Gaps were about .065 and tips were eroded. There was evidence of spark jumping to plug collar. Installed new plugs and engine now runs great. Plugs were supposed to be good for 100,000 miles but I only had 37,000 miles.
We had some discussions with Workhorse about our plugs and wires when we needed to replace them for the 3rd time even after we had replaced them once with better lifetime quality parts. Workhorse told us that Fleetwood did not allow enough room for proper airflow around the wires and plugs and that overheating was prone to occur and burn the plugs and wires prematurely. Workhorse has an air flow kit that is basically two flexible plastic 2" diameter hoses that attach to the grill area with cable ties and route additional air flow over the plugs and wires. After installation of the air flow kit in Nov 2007 we have been trouble free from misfires and burnt plugs and wires. The Workhorse part number for the kit is W8005026. Ours was installed at the dealer as a warranty repair but the installation looks simple enough for a do it yourself project. - Papa_MelExplorerWater Heater
I own a 2004 Pace Arrow, 37C. My water heater works great with propane but doesn't do well with electric. It just keeps the water luke warm. What can I do to trouble shoot the problem? What can I look for?
Thanks,

Saber,
I see you are towing a Malibu. I just got a 2009 Malibu and been working on getting it ready for this summer towing. How does the Malibu tow behind the P/A? I have always towed a small, lighter Saturn and the Malibu is about 900 pounds more.
I tow a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 8 cylinder engine. I use the Blue Ox Aventa flat towed with the Blue Ox surge brake. The car weighs in about 4700 lbs. I don't even notice it back there. No problems at all. - Paul_TurpinExplorerSaber,

The new dish was installed by them but in a slightly different location. I can't remember why they used a different location, but it make good sense at the time they explained it. They sealed the old location and I have had no problems with any leaks.
As to the other topics currently on the thread: I too changed to the Taylor wires and the cooling kit when I did the Banks mod. No problems whatsoever. If fact our coach is running better than when it was new. We spent last spring/summer doing skylights, all the engine mods, gen service, etc. and it is had to find something to tinker with know. The year before, we converted the AV system to HD and installed fiber optic to thenew rear HD tv. works great.
Still holding off on swith to Alcoa wheels lookiing for a good deal which I hope results from the economic downturn. Plus we have relocated to San Antonio and things are cheaper in Texas than Florida. - Jim_BakkerExplorer

My experience has been exactly the same--several plug wire replacements under warranty followed by installation of the air-flow kit (also under warranty). No more burned plug wires since the air-flow kit was installed. - Meme_RayExplorer

Did they remove the dome and replace it with the Winegard? That's what I'm hoping they'll do so it will be interesting to see if that's how they did yours. I also will be going to Camping World to have it done.
Sandy - saberExplorerHad Camping World install 5 LNB last summer and couldn't be more pleased. I don't think it has ever taken longer than about 4 minutes to erect and find the sats. A wonderful system and miles ahead of the dome we had before.
- Fyr_guyExplorerI changed mine several thousand miles ago when the originals were getting cooked. I had mine changed to the Taylor High Temp wires installed when I did the Ultrapower upgrade.
Seperate question, has anyone installed the Winegard TRAV'LER 5 LNB or the Motosat HD-SL5 ?
