- jablettExplorerI have a 2005 37c and would like to know if anyone could tell me why the front air conditoner is louder than the back one.
- saberExplorertuff lyf,
Finally found some time to checkout the fridge fans and follow some wires. Mine are best viewed from the top and are installed on a bracket about 10-12 inches below the cooling fins locaterd at the top of the fridge. They are controlled by a small (very) thermocouple screwed onto last cooling fin on the left. I have only noticed them running when we were in Twentynine Palms,CA and the outside temp was above 100 degrees. I do not know what year Fleetwood starting installing them on coaches, but I do know some people that did not have them from the factory. - tuff_lyfExplorerOn my 37C I pulled the lower access panel and could not see the two small cooling fans mounted behind the refrigerator. Can they be seen from the lower access panel or only from the upper access panel. They pull air from the lower vent to the upper vent. When would you want these fans running and why?
- jandn73ExplorerSaber and Fyr guy -
I've had DirecTivo (as it was originally called) for over three years. I agree with Fy4 guy that the phone is not needed for programming updates, but it is needed for Software updates. Once every three months or so I hook mine to a land line and let it dial in, mainly to remove the "your unit hasn't called in" message. About once a year or so it also does a software upgrade during the phone call that I forced.
Don't forget to remove the DVR if you winterize your unit. I learned the hard way that the hard drive doesn't like freezing temps!

Slate (with a gray decal that has changed colors and become mottled!) - Fyr_guyExplorerSaber, as I understand it the only time you need the phone line connected is for pay per view otherwise you can order movies online or through the phone. I have the older unit in my PA which is the H10-250 that is a Tivo unit and it is never connected to a phone line I just get an occasional message that says it needs to phone home and the message gets ignored and I have no disruption of service at all. I have the HR20 MPEG4 DVR at home and it's connected by phone but it's not necessary as all upgrades and guide data are transmitted via satellite. Hope this helps.
- saberExplorerFry guy,
Received a piece of "junk mail" from Directv today soliciting upgrade/lease of HR20 MPEG4,etc. In the small print, was the comment that a continous land line connection is required for DVR service. Haven't ever leased anything through Directv and don't plan to start. I purchased our unit and went for the two year commitment since we are alwasy going to have Directv. Did you run into this or as I am starting to assume, the phone line is required as part of the lease to assure that the unit is not moved. (WE have had the NFL package on out home unit from the beginning and one season the dedicated phone line to that unit was cut by a contractor and was out for about seven months. I am not so sure that the phone line means all that much. When I talked to Directv when the line was reconnected, they sent a signal to download the Pay per View movie data and they never said anything about the NFL.) - Bird_FreakExplorer IIbricot
I didn't the aux. receptacle either. Not sure what its for. - bricotExplorerGreat, thanks. What is all that about an auxillary receptical (I asssume we don't have one plugged in), do some come with a remote panel that you can level from another location?
