- BackmanExplorerMr. Bond,
See my reply under your original post! - Mr_BondExplorerI recently bought a 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37c. My wife and I love it and are preparing for a winter trip down the ALCAN from Alaska. This is my first class A and I was hoping to get some opinions on a few issues from this forum.
Issue 1:
Is there anyone out there who also has a 37c and is having a leaning problem. My coach seems to have a substantial lean even when unlaiden. It seems that most of the heavy slideouts refrig. etc. are on the passenger side which is the way it is leaning. The local dealer says it is within specs, but I feel it is unsafe. Any opinions would be helpful.
Issue 2:
The motorhome did not come with an inverter. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to install one so I can use the ac outlets in the coach without running the generator?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Paul_TurpinExplorerGary
I got all of my wiring info from Fyr guy and it was the same as what Best Buy told me to use. Where I went wrong was not getting the $100 HDMI wiring at Best Buy and went to Wal-Mart and got $19 S cable and a $500 TV on sale. - ParrotguyExplorerGreat Pics Sanford! Thanks! I'm sold. I'm getting the LG. Thanks for doing the homework!
Paul, what wires were attached to the old TV and what wires did you replace exactly?

- Fyr_guyExplorerThank's Paul, the only other set I looked at but was $300 more was the Sony 32" but felt that the contrast ratio of the LG was 1200:1 as opposed to the normal 600-800:1 I would get a better picture and my side by side comparison locked me down on the LG. It also was imperitive to get bottom speakers in order to maximize the largest viewing area and proper fit inside the box. In our set up, the maximum side viewing dimension is not a consideration as the widest point will be the sofa.

Paul is right in that the wiring has to be well thought out as you should be using the best connection (HDMI) possible in order to enjoy the best picture and sound. I found spending some time on the internet at "thehdguru.com" to be beneficial as it helps walk you through a variety of set-ups.
The one thing I learned was don't get cheap. After Fyr guy walked me thru the mounting and wiring, I went out and got a 32 inch LCD TV on sale that would fit and cheaper wires from Wal-Mart. The best thing I did was hook everything up with the cheap TV on the floor. It was the worst picture I ever got. The wife wanted the old TV to stay. After talking to Fyr guy I took everything back and got the LG TV and good wires (very expensive but well worth it). I hooked everything up again and what a big difference. Not that I am pushing the LG TV, just get a good TV and not something the store is trying to get rid of because no one is buying them. They are selling them cheap for a reason. - Fyr_guyExplorerThe only minor modifications I made to the box was....
1. Stapled the edge of the vinyl padding that was wrapped around the front edge as I needed room INSIDE the box.
2. Cut the vinyl padding at the front, inside the box
3. Remove the padding on the inside the box edge and remove a whole bunch of staples.
It was a tight fit but with the rear cross brace I know the LCD ain't going anywhere. As to the new Kigdome.. The only NEW stuff on there should just be hardware like additional LNB's (total of 5 to match the new AT9 dish Directv has for new programming) the only thing coming into the coach would be coax from the new dome into the HD receiver. It fits in the cabinet like it was made for it, the only change needed is the rear mounting system you might make. Fry guy has some good photo's on this that is very helpful. After finding out about the new King Dome I just pulled the old TV out, dry fit the LG in the cabinet, check what I needed for new wiring and put the old TV back in. All this was done in just a few hours and wife helped with old TV removal.
I am just going to wait for mounting the LG TV so I can complete all of the wiring changes needed in the cabinet so once I mount the LG TV I will not have to remove it to change any wiring. King Dome could not give me any wiring needed to operate the new system and I will have to get behind the TV for any wiring changes. - ParrotguyExplorerMore on TV
Fyr Guy You said the TV went in with some modifications to the box. What were they? My box width is 31 & 9/16" exactly. Amazon shows the TV width at 31.9 inches. I don't see any way to increase the width.
Did you have to modify the frame also?
