- cKarlGoExplorerIf this is something that you really want to do, then writing your own travel blog that is ad subsidized may be your best bet. With banner ads and enough traffic, you might be able to make some money. *Might* being the operative word.
The Internet does not often conform well to traditional business models such as employer/employee. If you're not convinced of this, then I'd encourage you to do some reading on www.techdirt.com. It's an excellent blog founded and primarily written by a gentleman named Mike Masnick. He has written extensively on such topics.
I think you'd be far better off taking the work camping route that others have suggested. A Google search on keywords such as "camp host state park" will reveal a plethora of available positions with varying work and hours requirements. - workhardplayha1ExplorerIt is going to be hard to sell information that is all over the web. Talk to your accountant, is all the time and money spent researching tax deductible? That may be the only way to make is less expensive.
- kgarrett9999ExplorerMy wife and I met a woman in Yellowstone this summer that writes travel reviews for a living. As we oooooohhhed and aaaaaahhed about the waterfalls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, she told us she was actually working at the moment.
She didn't go into a lot of detail, but apparently she travels fairly extensively and writes about it. It sounded as though her reviews weren't limited to just RV/Camping related sites. - I_am_still_waynExplorer

Looking for work stopping at different campgrounds or different destinations to write a review. I want to travel a little and earn some money doing it. Does anyone know where I could find a job like this?
If you already a published author, photo-journalist, or television producer, then maybe you could convince someone to publish your work. Charles Karault did that many years ago, but already was an accomplished journalist.
Just because you are retired and like to travel and write doesn't mean you have the skills and the support to become a successful author.
Having said all of that, today you can easily self-publish and put your work for sale on Amazon.
As far as writing a review for campgrounds, I think Good Sam already has that covered. You can post on tripadvisor. - tatestExplorer IIThe job title is "writer."
Writers are usually self employed, and to make money, they need to write something that someone wants to pay to read, and convince a publisher to publish whatever it is, and push it onto the bookstores. For travel writing, there is another market in travel magazines, including the few RV magazines. What sells might have to go beyond ratings or reviews of RV parks.
Only after you've established your reputation as a writer will a publisher consider putting you on salary and paying you for whatever you write, sight unseen. Think syndicated columnist. Then you need to produce something regularly, to meet the publication schedule, whether you have something to say or not.
But as a writer, I was in the 20th century. There are some 21st century aspects of writing I don't yet understand. One is blogging, you put your thoughts out on the world wide web, anybody can read them, you hope some of the people like it enough to donate money. Or enough people like it that you can convince advertisers to pay you to blog.
The other is electronic self-publishing, you write a book and put it up for sale with a place like Amazon. You hope some people will buy a copy.
How much you can make, whether or not you can make a living, depends on how well you can sell yourself and your writings, more than how well you can write. One crummy but fabulously popular novel or non-fiction self help book might set you up for the rest of your life, but most publishers will start demanding sequels. On the other hand, really great writers like Steinbeck, Hemingway, MarkTwain struggled for years to earn a living writing what they wanted to write, had to do other things to keep going.
I wish you luck. Remember, it is about selling, not about writing. - paulsangExplorer

Why so snarky?
:h - path1ExplorerAt one time we were going to as wife likes to write. Going to make money writing about different places. But we decided that we also like to eat.
I still remember looking at what we thought was "marketable" in our opinion and read many listings. See link of guidelines of who wants what and the pay. After reading, you will be able to see a common thread of what they want and pay . That eating thing gets in the way of everything, atleast in our case.

- mdprinceExplorerThere is definitely something called work-camping ! People arrange for a job in an RV park, drive their rv there and work for a defined period before moving on to the next location. I'm sure there are folks here that know about it (I don't).
As far as writing the review goes, there are web sites that travelers write reviews on, about their various stays at parks and describe what was good or bad, and rate them. This is all done for free not fee. - fulltime55ExplorerYou have got to be kidding..... right?
