Lost Power on all appliances - Microwave, A/C, outlets

Hi,Gurus,
After I changed my house batteries , all my ac appliances and outlet stop working. I took a picture of the wiring connection before I disconnected the wiring, it is exactly like it was before. no sure what happened, maybe I should have discounted the power line before I changed the batteries?

I did reset all breaks, no luck, looks like only the inverter breaker is doing something, when I turned off the inverter breakers, all lights went out.

So what I have right now is if I unplugged the connection to my 50 amp power source, all DC went dead as if I did not have battery connected at all.

if I plugged in the 50 amp power source, only DC was working (lights) , ALL A/C appliances - Microwave, A/C, outlets etc., did not work at all.

Please help!!!

Thanks in advance!

I am suppose to go on a 11-day trip today ::(

  • Make sure the "salesman switch" is not turned off. Usually by the entry door.
I use diffferent colored ty-wraps to mark where to re-connect wires when doing projects. Work great.

When I turned off the inverter breaker all lights went OFF
Your batteries are not providing 12vdc to the house. THey are disconnected or a fuse or breaker is tripped or they are toast.

SOME RV's have an Energery Management system (Common in high end 50 amp units) this is designed to shed selected loads ICLUDING the A/C and Microwave when running on 30 amps and drawing too much current. THIS should hot affect outlets however.

I'm thinking there are circuit breakers on the inverter as well and they power the outlets and microwave
  • You say you are plugged into 50amp. Check that breaker and do both of the legs have power. When you did your inhouse breakers to reset did you turn all of them off then on. Check your GFI outlets make sure they are not tripped.

As stated before double check the battery wiring make sure you did not miss a cable. I know about that from experience drove me crazy for a couple days then a non connected wire showed up. Make sure you did hook up correct wires to pos. and neg posts. Is your battery disconnect switch turned on.
  • recheck your wiring, and see if you forgot one or something, when I pull couple wires off some thing I zip tie them.
