You NEED to make a serious effort to find out where the water is coming from first.
One post pointed out that the condensation drain probably has nothing to do with the weather seal gasket and I pointed out that your water source might be the duct work and not the A/C unit at all.
If the problem was caused by a combination of high humidity and a slow condensation drain, it might go away by itself......for a while.
Remember, he stated that there was a lot of water around the compressor. THAT would eliminate a duct work condensation drip. I have worked on hundreds of Ducted AC's and have NEVER seen humidity caused water in excess in the ductwork. Moisture on the ceiling, but not water dripping out. IF you have this type problem, you have a problem with your ductwork and not a problem with the AC unit. Doug
