if you really want to bypass Louisville you could take 421 out of Greensburg and cross the river at Madison then stay on 421 to Bedford,ky and either stay on 421 to 71 or we take 42 on up to silgo and take 153 to 71. Then you can hit the Gene Snyder bypass around Louisville. Roads are a little curvy thru Kentucky but a nice scenic drive.
