Low point drains

Just purchased a Four Winds 31P motor home, can not find the drains. Original owner didn't know where they were. Just cleared line with air and pumped antifreeze, flush it in spring with fresh water til clear. I am at a lost, bought from 2nd owner , who did the same. Don't know if someone remove or capped. Help. This a Four Winds model 31P, year 2003.
  • Want to thank everyone, found them under the kitchen sink, next to water heater. Way up front, who would have thought.
  • When you do find the valves, make sure that you shut them completely after draining the lines. If not water pump will keep running or cycle on and off.
  • I have a set under the outdoor shower and another set at the battery compartment. That one is hard to get at from underneath.
  • My 2005 Four Winds 28A has the drains under the bed, just rear of the storage area on the passenger side.
  • On my 2011 Four Winds the low point drains are directly under the bathroom. That puts them right behind the passenger side rear mud flap. My bathroom is over that wheel well.

I called Thor and they sent me an email showing the plumbing of the rig.

Now I can get to them by feel.
  • Thanks, on my 2001 they were readily visible, valves reachable from the inside. Wind is gusting at 40mph, 49 degrees. Sunday will be in 60's,will look then.
  • Mine are all the way to the rear on the drivers side. You have to lay down and look up just in front of the hitch. There is a red and a blue pipe with silver 1/4 turn valves, the same as the hot water heater bypass valves. Once you know where they are you can reach them without getting on your back.
  • Yep, crawl under the rig and look for 2 (or 3) hoses coming out through the floor and ending. They may or may not have caps on them that need removing.
  • Do you see any 'lines' under the rig?
Low point drains have to drain out somewhere

Find the lines and then look inside in that general area........under seating, inside cabinets, under bed, inside any storage, near fresh water tank etc.

    Scavenger Hunt ----woo-hoo :B
